Why can't I receive e-mail from texasfirstbank.com?

Your e-mail service provider may be treating e-mail from Texas First Bank as spam (unsolicited "junk" e-mail).

What can I do to ensure that I do receive it?

There are three different options:

Add our e-mail address (or entire domain where possible -- texasfirstbank.com) to your address book or contact list. This will ensure that our e-mail arrives in your inbox.

If your e-mail service provider or spam filtering program offers a "whitelist," "safe list" or "friends" list, you may be able to add the domain (texasfirstbank.com) to the list.

Some e-mail servers (such as Yahoo Mail) place a clickable "this is not spam" link in the header of e-mail that is sent to the spam or bulk email folder. Clicking the link provides information and options for assuring that future e-mails from us are delivered to your inbox.

Is your online banking secure?

Yes, Logins for Online Banking now appear on every single page of our site so that no matter what page you're on, you can log in to check your account(s). The login appears in the upper-left, directly below the header image. The username and password you provide is sent to a secure webform behind the scenes over SSL (https).

What else can I do to increase my overall security?

While our Multifactor authentication process is one very good way to protect your sensitive information you can make it even more secure by changing just a few additional configurations within your personal preferences. If interested just log into your online account and under the preferences section look for the security link. Here will you will be able to adjust your personal settings however you feel necessary. If you are having trouble and are interested in any of the below suggestions just contact your nearest banking center or visit our Help Desk and we will be glad to assist.

  • Force yourself to get a Temporary Access Code at each login. This prompts the user to register the computer before each use and authenticate who they are.
  • Allow delivery of the temporary access code to your phone only. We realize fraud is on the increase and public email accounts are often compromised. By eliminating email delivery as an option you tighten your overall security.
  • If you use any of the Cash Management tools be sure to know your established limits and ask that they be lowered if too high.
  • In situations where you have multiple users accessing the same account be sure to incorporate dual control and tier your users privileges.
